A font is a typeface that has a specific size, weight, and style. This term is mainly used in traditional metal printing. In the modern world “font” is often synonymous with “typeface”, although the two do not necessarily mean the same thing. For example the Bulmer typeface has the fonts “Bulmer roman”, “Bulmer bold”, “Bulmer italic”, etc. — however the word “font” can be applied to each of them as well as to the whole.
